Working alongside Marketing and Communications Advisors and business groups from across the organisation, the role of Marketing / Communications Assistant involves:

- Keeping residents and key stakeholders informed and engaged on Council's activities, services and decision making
- Assisting with project marketing and communications initiatives across the Council
- Supporting the development of marketing and communications strategies to reach and communicate with Christchurch's diverse communities
- Providing support to the team by preparing and co-ordinating marketing activity, undertaking research, writing post-campaign reports and maintaining project spreadsheets

In addition to being a tertiary qualified professional, our ideal applicant will:

- Have a good understanding of digital marketing and knowledge of communicating on digital channels including Social Media, eDM and web
- Be well organised and able to work to tight deadlines
- Be experienced working in a complex environment
- Have a talent for relationship building

**_ Salary: $62,674 - $69,638 (based on a 40 hour week)_**

**_ Location: Primarily based at Te Hononga Civic Offices, 53 Hereford Street_**
