An exciting opportunity has become available to work as a **Community Health Worker **and join our passionate and multi-disciplinary team at **Women, Child and Family** Community located in Te Ak Mauri Children’s Health Hub Rotorua.
**Mō te tūranga / **About the role**
To contribute to the improved health and wellbeing of children in the Te Whatu Ora Lakes communities through facilitation of access to health services, health promotion and advocacy. This will be done by supporting the Public Health Nurses and Screening services in the delivery of Women, Child and Family Community services such as school based immunisation programmes, preschool and school nursing services, B4 schools, Ear Nursing, Vision and Hearing, New Born Screening.

- 0800 - 1630 hrs
- Tuesday, Wednesday and alternative Thursdays

You should have
- Ability to work within the community with children, young people and their families
- Ability to engage with, support and advocate for children and their families
- Ability to home visit and work in the education sector.
- Ability to work with different sectors, agencies and professionals within the community.
- Ability to identify and report care and protection concerns.

**Awhe utu / Salary range**
$59,748 to $ 61,540.00 pro-rated to hours worked.
To be eligible to work at Te Whatu Ora Lakes, you must be fully vaccinated.
