**The role**:
Due to continued growth, we are looking for a Principal Architect reporting directly to our Digital, Design and Development Manager. This role is about building knowledge and capability across the business while being accountable for the continued development of Orion’s enterprise architecture and governance. Working across the wider Group, you will lead project and solution design through the establishment and oversight of solution architecture practices and both through strategic and tactical delivery, providing advice and guidance across the business.

The focus for this role is developing enterprise solutions architectures for digital business systems considering data, integration, cohesive UX leveraging bringing good and modern working practices.

**A little more about the role**:

- Engage with our stakeholders to create solutions to meet our business needs as we continue our exploration journey
- Contribute to the development of Orion’s enterprise architecture and domain driven solutions architecture
- Collaborate across the business providing architectural guidance for digital solution design
- Improve the Solution Development Lifecycle using frameworks and definition of key artefacts and process improvements.
- Contribute to the development our Digital Technology Strategy aligning business outcomes with enabling technology solutions
- Provide a solutions architecture that builds an understanding of how technology and data supports business functions of the Orion Group
- Provide Leadership, mentoring and architectural oversight of internal and third-party domain architects and technical lead’s.

**A little more about you**:

- Proven experience in a complex environment contributing to the development of, and maturity of, enterprise and digital solutions architecture practices.
- An in-depth understanding of integration patterns particular around CI/CD practices to support existing and new digital solutions.
- Proven experience delivering enterprise solutions architectures for cloud enabled business systems, particularly in the Utility and Microsoft domain (Dynamics CRM, Business Central, Finance and Operations).
