**About the Role**

Based in either Auckland or Christchurch, you, as Human Resources Business Partner, will be a key member of the HR Pacific team driving change and transformation activities whilst supporting the business operations in New Zealand to achieve further growth and success.

This position is an entry level position into HR and works closely with the Senior HR Director, the HR Business Partner, NZ and the HR Business Partner Corporate ANZ. You will ensure that New Zealand achieves the best from, and for its people: the optimum culture, structure and costs to ensure high levels of customer excellence and profitable business growth, whilst creating an environment of career success, engagement and wellbeing.

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Human Resources Administration _
- The role will be responsible for the administration of process in NZ including compensation & benefits, liaising with the HR service centre (HR4U), employee onboarding, ensuring policies are up-to-date and published, driving communications, coordinating HR events/programs and other HR related tasks.
- Change & Transformation / Organisation Design / Business Partnering _
- Supporting the more senior HR Business Partner with all change management, transformation, organisation design and business partnering.
- Talent Acquisition / Management / Capability Development _
- Work collaboratively with the Talent Acquisition Specialist - NZ to assess and analyse resourcing needs for corporate operations team reporting to Operations Director
- Work with the more senior HR Business Partner to ensure that the talent management plan is effectively executed.
- Employee Relations / Performance Management / Operational Compliance _
- Work with the more senior HR Business Partner to ensure that the effective management of employee relations matters.
- Exemplify and encourage the ABG Code of Conduct and Values across the business and minimize underperformance.
- Challenge the existing process where there are improvement opportunities and confidently lead change.
- Plan, develop, implement and monitor human resources policies, procedures, systems and budgets.
- Manage HR reporting, data and administration such as absence management, payroll input, new starters, leavers, employment changes, background checks, skills assessments, time and attendance.
- Culture / Engagement / Rewards _
- Communicate directly with those in customer facing roles to assess frontline engagement and drive improvements through the business based upon these interactions.
- Act as an employee champion to ensure an engaging environment, team communication, wellbeing initiatives and great people practices are in place.
- Workplace Health & Safety _
- In collaboration with the WHS Advisor and other HR BPs develop a safety culture across the Pacific region and develop wellbeing initiatives for the Pacific Region
- Comply with local Workplace Health & Safety legislation, policies and procedures and ensure relevant WHS practices are upheld.

**Skills and Experience**

This entry level role would ideally suit a recent graduate (HR or similar degree) with some HR working experience who has excellent communication and influencing skills and can work in a fast-paced environment.

It is essential you understand employment law for NZ to support our HR policies and practises across a multinational, multisite corporate environment.

Your can-do attitude with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in achieving outcomes quickly will see you thrive in this role.
