**Job Description**:

- Assist the National Building Compliance Manager in leading the National Building Compliance Team effectively and efficiently, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and service excellence, in line with the Building Compliance Annual plan and budget targets.
- Demonstrate leadership in relation to Operational Integrity / Environment, Health & Safety (EH&S) including SGS Rules for Life.
- Assist the National Building Compliance Manager in relation to technical interpretations, and enquiries from customers and staff.
- Contribute positively to the achievement of the I&E - Regulatory business goals by performing the duties of a Senior IQP and/or undertaking projects as designated from time to time by the National Building Compliance Manager.
- Conduct building inspections as a primary job in a safe manner and in compliance of SGS, customers and Work Safe requirements and regulations.
- Assist the National Building Compliance Manager with all activities of the national operations ensuring the team is well supported locally with respect to schedule efficiently, (80% chargeable productivity required) purchasing and procurement of equipment / consumables and that all employee concerns are resolved swiftly (whether resolved by self or with the assistance of National Building Compliance Manager or HR).
- Assist in the co-ordination of the national team members work schedules to ensure quality and timely service delivery, while minimizing down time and a fair distribution of workload.
- Lead national team in terms of meeting internal and external HSE standards and requirements, including training, education and compliance with HSE policies, reporting, and conduct regular HSE meetings. This will be achieved in cooperation with the National Building Compliance Manager.
- Work with National Building Compliance Manager and Business Manager in the interest of delivering superior services to clients by addressing technical matters and opportunities for improvement.
- Monitor the local market and competition where possible and feed information back to National Building Compliance manager and I&E Business Manager as required.
- Work with National Building Compliance Manager and national administration team to ensure practices are congruous with the values of SGS and in line with the SGS systems and philosophy of continuous improvement.
- Ensure all national time sheets are completed and submitted weekly thus enabling the smooth running of payroll processing, customer invoicing & employee remuneration.
- Support administration and quality assurance systems to ensure compliance with industry and SGS standards, and raise any concerns or ideas for improvement/development with the National Building Compliance Manager and Business Manager.

**Qualifications**:

- Five years’ work experience with SGS at a Senior IQP level or within similar industry practices.
- General site safety awareness and training.
- Business acumen - qualifications or experience managing cost centres including leading high performing teams technical specialists, and administrators.
