**About the business and the role**
Conductive Education Waikato is a charitable trust that has been operating in the Waikato for over 32 years. We were established by parents with children whose needs were not being met by existing services. Supporting the whole whanau is an important aspect of how we still operate today. Our service is an independent provider for Child Development / Early Intervention services. An exciting, flexible, up to full time (negotiable) position has become available at our Hamilton based centre.
The role provides variety and flexibility to work in a multidisciplinary way with children 0-6 years presenting with a disability or developmental delay. There is scope for the right person to develop this role to meet the needs and aspirations of tamariki and whanau we support.
**Job tasks and responsibilities**
This role will encompass:
- centre based and community based practice/intervention, both in 1:1 and in a group programme, some telehealth may also be required
- liaison with regional Child Development Services and other providers
- working collaboratively with our team, including Conductive Practitioners, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapist, Early Childhood Teachers, Early Intervention Teacher, Speech Language Therapists, Support Staff and Music Specialist to support best outcomes for our tamariki and their whanau.
Assessor Accreditation for EMS is a requirement ofthis role. Applicants will also require a clean, current drivers licence.
**Skills and experience**
Applicants willhavean appropriatequalification recognised in New Zealandand at least two years post graduateexperience. Paediatric experience is required. A New Zealand Police Vet is required for this role.
Applicants must provide a copy of:
- Degree or Diploma of Occupational Therapy/Physiotherapy
- Registration with NZ VNT Association and/or Professional Association
- Current Practicing Certificate
Preferred skills:
- Current Drivers Licence
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Experience with a variety of developmental assessments (e.g. Bayley Scales of Infant and Toddler development, ADOS-2, AIMS)
