We are responsible for designing community-based systems of care, agreeing health and wellbeing plans, executing those plans, and monitoring outcomes which then feed into the design process. We work in partnership with our Te Whatu Ora and Te Aka Whai Ora colleagues to shape system-wide public health services across the motu.

The Principal Service Development Manager, Sexual Health is a member of the Starting Well team. This role is tasked with supporting the development oversight of the sexual health work programme and key priorities (such providing leadership for the Sexually Transmitted and Blood Borne Infections Programme) in close partnership with regional colleagues. The Principal Service Development Manager will have strong relationship management and influencing skills and will manage outcomes through strong regional commissioning, provider and sector relationships.

- Demonstrated experience at a senior level leading the development and delivery of service and investment strategies and initiatives, including the full commissioning of services within the specific life course area.
- Demonstrated experience in health service funding with procurement and provider management oversight at a senior level.
- Demonstrated experience in leading service design.
- Demonstrated experience in the development of high quality and timely investment planning strategies and initiatives.
- Demonstrated experience in developing, maintaining, and influencing relationships and partnerships across sectors and organisations including with Māori and Pacific Peoples and groups and at a senior level.
- Demonstrated ability to think conceptually and anticipate the impact of decisions on long-term outcomes, including financial outcomes, and to develop/recommend responses in consultation with key stakeholders.
