**Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity***
The acute care team in Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora has a programme of work in place to improve system flow and we are looking for clinicians to help us progress this exciting work. In particular we are looking for expertise in integrated operating centres and allied health, as well as a General Physician to help us progress this work. There will be a focus on performance against the Shorter Stays in ED target, new models of care, initiatives to improve flow, and working with hospital teams to support them.
The opportunity is for three experienced nurses, doctors, or allied health professionals to join the Acute Care team as **Clinical Leads**. This is a 0.2FTE 2 year secondment. You would be expected to be currently working in the area of acute care, and the role offers flexible hours and days to accommodate this. The Clinical Leads will be responsible for providing clinical leadership on delivery and clinical quality and safety issues for acute care and providing oversight and expertise on the delivery of national priorities. The role will work in partnership with national, regional, and local clinical leads and advisors in acute care to take an all of system approach in providing clinical leadership. As part of the wider clinical team in acute care, this role will focus on the area of Emergency Department and Acute Hospital Flow.
Note: These roles can be filled with either medical, nursing, or allied health professionals.

- A relevant graduate and post-graduate qualification
- A current APC and currently working in acute care
- At least 5 years experience in the area of acute care***
