**Job Advertisement**: Policy Advisor - Mana Takirua - Enhancing and Protecting Te Tiriti Relationships
Advisor to join our Water Services Reform team as we embark on a transformative journey to improve the health and wellbeing of New Zealanders. As Policy Advisor - Mana Takirua - Enhancing Te Tiriti Relationships, you will play a role in ensuring the Crown's commitments and obligations in Treaty Settlements and Te Tiriti o Waitangi are appropriately recognised, understood, and reflected in the development of the legislative frameworks and mechanisms that give effect to the water service reform outcomes and in the establishment of the new water service entities.
Safe, reliable, and affordable drinking water, wastewater and stormwater underpins the health and wellbeing of our communities. Large-scale, once-in-a lifetime reform is needed to ensure Aotearoa's precious water resource is effectively managed and protected today, and for future generations.

If you have the following skills and experience, we would really like to hear from you:

- A degree in a relevant field (such as policy, social sciences, or law) or experience in policy analysis, research, and development
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Knowledge and understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and the Treaty settlement process.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Analytical skills, strong attention to detail and accuracy
