(About this position)
We are looking for enthusiastic and
skilled Registered and Enrolled Nurses who would like to join our
multi-disciplinary inpatient mental health team. We - re a great team passionate
about mental health and delivering a high standard of care. Our service
provides inpatient care for acute through to rehabilitation.

- You are a NZ Registered Nurse or

Enrolled Nurse with the confidence to work autonomously and the resilience
to manage a busy workload.
- You are culturally aware and keen to
reduce the barriers that make accessing services difficult for our Maori
clients.
- You are driven to work in a pro-active
manner and embrace change and development.Te Whatu Ora staff must
have completed their primary course of NZ approved COVID-19 vaccines as they
have direct contact with patients and members of the public.

**Required skills and knowledge include**:

- Well-developed interpersonal skills
- Willingness to work across the Mental

**Health Inpatient Continuum Knowledge of**:

- Mental Health (Compulsory Assessment

and Treatment) Act, 1992
- PPPR Act - Welfare Guardian
- Sensory Modulation Principles in
Mental Health
- Mental status examinations and risk

The full-time equivalent salary range

- a Registered Nurse is $59,834

to $83,186
- an
Enrolled Nurse is $54,432
through to $62,847 based on the Mental Health and Public
Health Nursing MECA, dependent on skills, experience and registration in NZ.
