This is a newly created role that is designed to enable a top performer to help grow the business in the Wellington region. You will develop and lead a Wellington based key accounts team within a well-established organisation (that is headquartered in Auckland). The sector is going through major change and the company is expanding through acquisitions. This is a significant opportunity to grow sales from major existing clients and also identify and grow new clients.

Based in Wellington CBD, this is a permanent opportunity that offers flexible working arrangements.

We are looking for people who have:

- Very strong Key Account management experience
- Experience leading small teams - you will recruit 2 - 3 account managers who will report to you
- Extensive networks in the government and private sectors
- Exceptional relationship management and communication skills, and comfortable leading presentations to senior management within customers and prospects.

The successful applicant for this role is very much a people person and a true team player. They are driven, ambitious and are comfortable working autonomously - the role reports to the Sales Director (who is based in Auckland). All applicants must be credible and able to demonstrate that they are client solution driven.

The manager has an excellent sales management background, and is is down to earth, pragmatic, professional, supportive and would be great to work with.
