**Key Responsibilities**:

- Facilitate an HSE culture that values and promotes safer working environment by enhancing HSE knowledge, skills, and engagement of employees, contractors, and sub-contractors
- Participate in managing the development and implementation of strategic health, safety and environmental annual plans, including actions required to maintain HSE Certification to ISO9001, ISO45001 and ISO 14001
- HSE oversight of all HBT Field works and HSE Management systems
- Develop and deploy district strategy for HSE, business continuity, Office and Low Risk Sites (OLRS) and sustainability
- Conduct the structured investigation and analysis of incidents, which includes identification of system causes, development of recommendations, improve systems to prevent recurrence and meeting requirements of safety regulators
- Develop and maintain a Management Operating System (MOS) inclusive of schedules of planned workplace, site observations, formal site inspections, HSE site audits and risk assessments in collaboration with “risk control owners” and involving management, leaders, and operational staff to analyze risks and to identify risk levels and risk acceptability
- Facilitate the deployment of the strategic plan (STRAP) & the annual operating plan (AOP) for HSE performance across the district, including use of tools such as the X-Matrix, A3 plans & lean principles

**Key Experience & Capabilities**:

- Minimum of 2 years leadership roles in HSE and 5 years’ working and deploying HSE in the business
- High level of coordination experience and working within complex fast-paced environment required
- Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
- Knowledgeable in HSE compliance, emerging regulations, and trends
- Experience in ISO certifications
- Lead auditor
- Ability to recognize hazards, develop solutions and meet customer requirements
- Strong communication skills with proven ability to influence and communicate effectively at all levels of the organization
- Certificate IV TAE - Training and Assessment
