At Toitū Te Whenua - Land Information NZ our IT services are at the core of transforming our service offerings, supporting our ongoing work and business transformation goals. We have a position currently available for an experienced architect operating in the business domain and with a passion for enterprise architecture to join our architecture team.
We have initiated a long-term programme to modernise New Zealand's land information platforms & services. To achieve this, we have designed a comprehensive work programme, with work to provide benefits for customers and mitigate security concerns as quickly as possible.
To support our ongoing work, we need a highly motivated and experienced architect to join us in our broader team of Architects to provide enterprise guidance, prepare business initiatives and be embedded in technology projects across Toitū Te Whenua.

**On a typical day you may**:

- Be asked to join a stand-up attended by architects and engineers,
- have one-on-ones with business and technology reps,
- represent our team and guidance in projects,
- write the guidance material or complete strategic plan actions,
- maintain capability models in dedicated tool,
- contact projects to stay up to date with progress,
- engage with governance boards or vendors.

**He pūkenga tou | Skills & Experience**:

- Demonstrate your ability to put customers at the centre of your decisions while supporting strategic direction,
- Experience leading with Agile practices and principles,
- Insights into trends, opportunities and risks in information technology, including research, analysis and strategic thinking that is beneficial for information technology,
- Strong organisational and system awareness that adds value,
- Lead and monitoring experience with demonstrated improvement to technology practices and expert advice and guidance,
- Data-centric insight to inform vision for the development and implementation of technology and tools,
- Up to date knowledge of best practices and requirements, and ability to assess associated benefits, opportunities, and threats,
- Good experience with architectural modelling,
- Good communication and writing skills, and able to communicate with technical and non-technical audiences.

We expect to appoint a salary in the range of $146,900 - $170,722 for this role.
