**Mō te roopu | About the team**:
Technology and Channels is responsible for the Ministry's technology strategy, systems and services. We have implemented a technology operating model that ensures we can deliver our responsibilities more efficiently, through a business-aligned structure by leveraging Cloud‑based platforms. Our operating model is founded on three main principles:

- User-centricity is paramount, with a focus on the front-line and the wider sector.
- We are Cloud-only and asset-light, choosing to buy as-a-service offerings from third party suppliers, rather than own technology assets.
- Our systems and processes are agile and enabling, to deliver changes faster, reduce complexity and simplify system interactions.

Within the Technology and Channels team structure, we have five dedicated teams called Service Portfolios. Each Service Portfolio is responsible for a set of systems that is broadly aligned to agency business functions. Each Service Portfolio is led by a Service Portfolio Manager. An Enterprise Architecture function sits alongside these portfolios to provide architecture consistency across the portfolios.

Mō te tūnga | About the role
We are looking for an Enterprise Architect to work in the Enterprise Architecture team.
This is a senior role reporting into the Chief Architect that would have the following responsibilities:

- Support the development of technology strategy and direction for the Ministry
- Develop capability roadmaps to assist business units in leveraging technology to achieve business outcomes
- Developing and maintaining the Cybersecurity Strategy and Enterprise Security Architecture
- Lead technology innovation within the Ministry
- Develop and maintain architecture frameworks to implement Ministry's Technology strategy
- Evolve our cloud strategy, frameworks, patterns and standards including integration, security including identity management, and data sharing
- Engage with and contribute to all-of-government initiatives.

Mōu | About you
- Five or more years' experience as a Senior architect in a large organisation delivering practical solutions to solve complex organisational problems
- A thorough understanding of architectural frameworks, processes and industry standards, including All-of-Government standards, and cloud architecture
- Your experience includes multi-cloud including the Salesforce, AWS and Azure platforms
- Your experience includes cyber security strategy and architecture
- Ability to synthesise a cohesive technology strategy across all the elements of a technology-enabled business
- Business and client-focused approach to technology and channels
- Ability to communicate complex ideas to a variety of audiences and build and maintain rapport with others
- Strong problem-solving abilities and lateral thinking while still maintaining attention to detail
- Commercial expertise, including experience working with counterparts in external provider organisations
- Outstanding relationship management skills and can build trusting relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Be open to and contribute to the development of fresh new ideas
