**About the Role**

The Clinical Midwife Specialist (MCIS) is a senior midwifery role responsible for providing comprehensive specialist expertise and clinical leadership to the health professionals using the National Maternity Information System (MCIS - BadgerNet) within Te Toka Tumai’s Maternity Services.

Your main duties include:

- Provide support to end users from a clinical lens
- Work with other MCIS team members to support BAU activities, such as software releases and updates
- Manage training and communication materials
- Collaborate with clinical leaders and managers to contribute to change and quality improvement initiatives
- Facilitating a close working relationship between clinical, operational and technical staff through face to face discussions, meetings, workshop facilitation and written communication.

To be successful in this role, we are looking for the following:

- At least 3 years’ experience in the midwifery field
- Knowledge and experience with current IT systems and understanding of maternity data
- Problem solving skills and able to work independently or with a team
