Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity

As part of Auckland District Health Board, Women's Health supports about 6,500 births annually. We provide national and regional services, as well as primary, secondary and tertiary maternity and gynaecological services to women. We have established subspecialty services in Maternal Fetal Medicine, Gynaecological Oncology, Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility.
Due to a current resignation, we are currently seeking a Perinatal Midwife Specialist to join our wonderful team at Women's Health.

**As the Perinatal Midwife Specialist, your duties will include**:
Ensuring that the Perinatal Mortality review process is well co-ordinated as well as education and teaching of all maternity stakeholders across Women's Health.
This role would also involve being a key agent of the PMMRC (Perinatal and Maternal Mortality Review Committee).

Nga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills
To be successful in this role, you would need to have the following:
Have excellent Interpersonal and time management skills & the ability to build strong working relationships
Have a passion for working in this specialist area

New Zealand Registered Midwife with at least 5 years' experience in community and / or hospital setting
Must be a clinical expert in midwifery and have the ability to provide direction for and evaluate midwifery care
Teaching and mentoring skills
Tertiary qualification, or working towards a postgraduate qualification would be an advantage
Active Midwifery APC
Commitment to equitable outcomes for Maori
