Te whiwhinga mahi/The Opportunity
We are seeking an Advisor to join our Implementation team in the Commissioning and Service Improvement (CSI) unit. In CSI, we deliver improvements to the justice system for a safe and fair Aotearoa.
The role involves providing operational advice to our policy group about the impacts of proposed legislative changes. Once bills are passed into law, we design and deliver changes to processes, services and systems to make those changes work ‘on the ground'.

**On any given day you might**:

- participate in workshops to consider the practical implications of new policy suggestions
- analyse change proposals as bills work their way through parliament and identify impacts they might have on how the ministry delivers services to the public
- develop and deliver change management activities to prepare our people
- prepare and deliver communications to the judiciary and ministry staff about upcoming changes to legislation
- talk to colleagues in other agencies about law changes they are proposing.

**We are looking for someone with**:

- a sound understanding of how courts and the wider justice sector operate, in particular of how people experience using the services we provide
- experience in delivering frontline justice services
- an awareness of parliament's legislative change process
- good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex messages clearly and concisely
- a can-do attitude, and the ability to independently complete allocated work.

Utu ā-tau/Salary
The appointing salary for this role will be between $70,518 and $97,908 based on skills and experience.
