We have an exciting opportunity for a Podiatrist to work in hospital and community based clinics to provide care to people at high risk of diabetes related foot disease within our Diabetes Service.
This position is responsible for the management of people with diabetes and at high risk of diabetes related foot disease or who have active foot complications.
We are looking for someone who has experience in or is willing to develop the skills and knowledge specific to the management of high-risk foot disease. Experience working within a hospital setting and multidisciplinary teams will be beneficial and preferred, however not necessary.
You will have strong clinical skills with a proven ability to develop and maintain effective relationships within a team and with other service providers. Working with high risk foot patients and wound management will be of particular interest to you along with a desire to expand your knowledge and skills in this area.
This is a fixed term position for 11 months covering maternity leave, working weekdays 48 hours per fortnight. It is essential that you are a NZ Registered Podiatrist with a current Annual Practicing Certificate (General) with 2 years' clinical experience, and have understanding specifically related to the diabetes foot.
