Helios Power solutions is a leading provider of AC & DC power solutions that are sustainably designed, built and installed for a wide range of construction and infrastructure projects across New Zealand. Due to year on year growth and an increased demand for our products and services, an opportunity has become available for a Team Leader to join our dedicated AC Service team.

**A little bit about the Opportunity**:
Our client is looking for an experienced Team Leader to join the AC Service Team. Reporting to the Head of Operations this role will lead the AC Service team providing on-site technical support and installation for all AC product range, including UPS devices in New Zealand's critical infrastructure companies. As a leader in the business, you will oversee 2 AC service technicians consistently improving our performance and providing coaching, mentoring and support as and where required.

**Key duties**:
Product set up and service
- Provide on-site technical product support and/or installation for all Helios AC products, and specifically UPS devices across New Zealand
- Installation, configuration, maintenance, support and optimisation of all products at a site level, including end user training
- Ensure planned period maintenance is carried out within agreed time frames, budgets, and industry best practice
- Reactive maintenance resolving system software and hardware failures, product performance issues, and user quality improvements

Reporting & Training
- Writing accurate job reports
- Attending courses and seminars and training the team to ensure maximum technical competency
- Assisting the service team with diagnosis

Staff Management
- Supervise and streamline workload of service technicians and external contractors
- supervise in house training programs
- Assist in the day-to-day people management including assisting with recruitment, performance reviews, and performance management

Health & Safety
- Ensure you and your team are adhering to all health & safety standards and procedures required by HPS, our customers and OHS regulations

**So who are you & what is your background?**
- Attitude is everything, we are looking for someone who is confident, positive, passionate and energetic wanting to really dig in and drive results
- Must be a registered electrician with preference given to those with relevant experience in AC and UPS products
- Leadership style that drives high performance culture, with a willingness to lead from the front
- The ability to have tough conversations in a respectful and productive manner
- Technical expertise in Electronics manufacturing highly desirable
- Full clean NZ drivers license
- This role is on the road, with an element of domestic travel (and occasional international travel for training)
