**About the role**

Based at Palmerston North Retirement village we are now looking for a Night Porter/Security to ensure our village and care home is kept safe and secure overnight. As well as evening patrolling you will be kept busy and be responsible for general cleaning, security and completing related administration duties. This is a rewarding role where you will truly make a difference to the lives our residents.

This is a four on 3 off roster working 11pm to 7am.

**Some of the great work you will be doing**
- Patrol the village site ensuring a safe environment for our residents
- Answering emergency call outs and call for assistance from emergency services
- Assist with night care needs of our residents
- Provide direction as necessary to residents and visitors
- Actioning administration duties and general cleaning on the premise

**About you**
To be successful in this role you'll enjoy fostering and maintaining relationships with our residents, be able to remain calm and make decisions under pressure and have an honest nature.
- Experience working in security is highly desirable
- Physically able to support our Residents in any emergency
- Be super organised and self-motivated
- Have good communication skills (written and verbal)
- Have impeccable personal presentation
