Te Wānanga o Aotearoa has been providing exceptional value for more than 30 years to tauira (students) and communities across 80 locations throughout Aotearoa. We are New Zealand’s second largest tertiary provider, dedicated to whānau transformation through education.

Tokokauneke is responsible for designing and developing high quality programmes and courses that are delivered through digital technology advances in unique blended learning platforms for Te Wānanga o Aotearoa. This highly innovative team leads from the front in creating and shaping enhanced digital knowledge learning programmes for kaikao and tauira engagement.

This is an exciting time for us and presents as a real opportunity for a dynamic, enthusiastic and creative Senior Designer to join the Tokokauneke team. If you have an artistic flair, a love for education and learning coupled with a passion for graphic design and a drive to enhance technology and learning, we would love to discuss the opportunities this position can offer you.

**Key Responsibilities include**:

- Design, develop and produce creative content for new online learning programme
- Manage all creative imagery for a seamless LMS transition
- Take the lead in designing creative strategies to diverse audiences
- Provide support and training to the team on professional graphics and design modalities
- Identify new and innovative digital design technologies
- Lead in designing artistic platforms for contemporary design-learning curricula

**Ideally, you will hold**
- Bachelor Degree in Media or related
- Diploma Te Reo Māori Level 5
- 6+ years’ experience in branding, creative design and graphic design
- 3+ years’ experience in digital learning/e-Learning
- 3+ years’ experience in Ako Wānanga/Ako Whakatere
- Experience and knowledge of iQualify/Akorau
- Full NZ Driver’s license
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with knowledge in Microsoft Office
- Excellent Engagement and Customer Service Skills
- The ability or willingness to understand and converse in Te Reo Māori is preferred, but not essential. Equally, as is an understanding of Māori values, culture and tikanga Māori. Opportunities to further develop in this area are offered and encouraged.
