**About the role**

**Responsibilities**
- Support the successful delivery of projects through high quality design using Safety in Design principles and Works Programme processes
- Support the project governance and resource model, and work closely with colleagues to bring an end to end project perspective
- Use and assist with improvements and maintenance of the Compatible Unit Estimation tool
- Developing conceptual detailed design solutions
- Provide assistance to manager/team leader/project manager/Planner as required.
- Guide and mentor the Distribution Design team - champion Safety in Design

**Skills and Experience**
- Electrical Trade qualification or NZCE or equivalent
- 7+ years’ experience in the construction or design of electricity network infrastructure
- A high level of computer literacy and the ability to learn new packages. Experience in the use of SAP or similar software is preferable
- Appropriate current registration and an appropriate tertiary level technical qualification is preferable
- Good communication skills and proven ability to work as part of a team to achieve common goals
