Work for NZ's preeminent environmental resource recycling leader
- Take on a purpose-driven role and develop your technical expertise.
- Drive strategic asset planning in this integral leadership role.

Our essential service client is NZ's leader in waste, recycling and resource recovery, and we are now seeking a National Technical Manager to drive their construction and engineering project efforts across its nationwide asset base.

As a highly experienced Technical Manager, you'll be responsible for overseeing the business's construction teams and driving the development of its capital assets and critical infrastructure projects nationwide.

**A bit about the role**:

- Drive technology advancements and standards within specialist technical & engineering areas in support of wider company strategic initiatives.
- Utilise knowledge and expertise to drive strategic planning, business and infrastructure development in specialist technical areas.
- Oversee, develop and manage construction teams to ensure projects are completed on time and to budget.
- Support national programmes and initiatives through technical support and oversight.
- Provide technical expertise in landfill engineering and environmental considerations in relation to key infrastructure assets.
- Lead the development of construction methodologies, processes and procedures to ensure the delivery of high-quality projects
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and industry standards

**A bit about you**:

- You'll have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Science or a related field
- a high level of experience in construction and project management, contraction preparation in civil or mechanical construction
- 5+ years at a senior leadership level, and strong technical skills
- proven track record in managing large-scale construction projects, (with exposure to landfill engineering being a bonus)
- proven understanding of the NZ regularly framework, e.g., NZ Resource Management Act
- strong technical and business acumen, with a focus on delivering sustainable and environmentally responsible solutions
- excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead, motivate and mentor teams

This is a VERY unique opportunity to join a dynamic and growing company at the forefront of its industry, and a company that is seen as a proud example in its field. You will be a purpose-driven leader, looking to make a difference.

This is not a usual construction management position - your efforts will genuinely make a difference on Kiwi kids of future generations, as well as on NZ's response to the climate crisis.

If you are a highly motivated and results-driven leader, with a passion for driving capital asset and infrastructure developments, and strategic oversight we want to hear from you.
- All applicants must be eligible to work in NZ, and be willing to undergo pre-employment medical screening and drug / alcohol screening._
