**Job Title: Theatre Coordinator**

**Hours: Monday to Friday**

**Salary: up to $116k per annum depending on experience, PDRP plus relocation package possible for the right person**

**About this Theatre Coordinator opportunity**
Carejobz Recruitment have been asked to recruit the new Theatre Coordinator for a hospital based in in the lower South Island.

This is a busy and rewarding role, where no 2 days will be the same with 26 in-patient beds and a day surgery unit accommodating up to 15 patients per session.

A highly dynamic environment with a superb team awaits the successful applicant.

**In summary, some of the responsibilities of the Theatre Coordinator will be**:

- To provide direct clinical coordination, expertise, and leadership to staff, ensuring our client's Specialist' and patients' expectations are met at all times, and maintaining the highest standard of clinical care.
- To optimise the efficiency of resource usage within the theatre suite whilst maintaining a safe environment.
- To provide support and mentoring to staff enabling them to develop to their full potential.

**What you will need to apply**:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Registered Nurse for our client, with strong organisational and communication skills to join them in this key leadership position, within our client's busy Operating Theatre.

**Essential requirements**
- Registered Nurse with a current New Zealand Nursing Council Annual Practicing Certificate or relevant Health Professional with a current competency-based Practicing Certificate.
- Postgraduate diploma or evidence of ongoing education relevant to practice/position.
- Over 5 years of Operating Theatre experience.
- Previous leadership/management experience.
- Proven ability to coordinate surgical booking processes and manage teams/staff.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative team player.
- Flexibility and adaptability to respond positively to the changing needs of the business.
