The Council provides a cycle safety programme for primary schools all over the city which targets 10 and 11 year olds and aims to improve the cycling skills of children and to encourage them to cycle.

**Who are you?**
You are positive, energetic and excited to be a part of fostering a cycling culture for our youth. You will have the patience and attitude to work in this rewarding environment, seeing children gain confidence in their personal ability on a daily basis. Perhaps you come from a teaching background and are looking for a change of pace? Our environment is truly refreshing and you are given the opportunity to incorporate your enthusiasm for being active while teaching children a valuable skill.

**What experience is needed?**
Ideally you will have knowledge of the road code with practical cycling skills and experience. However, to set you up for success you will have a natural ability to coach and manage groups of school students. This position requires you to have the ability to assist with the physical aspects of the programme and to maintain a positive attitude. Proven time management skills and contributing to a great team culture will come naturally to you. You pride yourself on your honesty, integrity and a high level of workplace maturity.

**What's on offer?**
This opportunity is part time between the hours of 8:45am and 3.00pm during primary schools terms. As a Cycle Safe Instructor you do not work during the school holidays but you may be required to attend any professional development sessions.
