**The Role**

You will be responsible for the maintenance repairs to several commercial buildings involving but not limited to: Painting, minor plastering repairs, minor plumbing repairs, racking and racking protection work, minor carpentry and basic fitting work. General facility tasks including moving furniture, relocation of equipment, installation of information boards/signage etc. Preventative maintenance (in line with MEX Scheduling), identifying site needs (weekly inspections with Manager/Planner) and communicate to planner for scheduling, contractor involvement including safety watch/traffic control and contractor oversite, able to use a variety of hand-held and power tools.

Day to day tasks will be scheduled by the Maintenance Planner, the role will report to the Engineering and Facilities Manager, who will work with you to make sure our assets are meeting quality standards, health and safety regulations and any local authority requirements.

This is a full-time position working at least 40 hours per week, with ordinary hours of 7:30am to 4pm, Monday to Friday. Flexibility around start and finish times when required for certain tasks.

**The Criteria**

To be successful, you will have excellent organisational ability, with strong interpersonal skills and command of the English language both spoken and written. You will need to be a self-starter, be able to prioritise your workload and be proactive. You will also be a problem solver and able to think outside of the box.

You will also have:

- Experience in facilities or maintenance preferrable
- Excellent people skills
- Technical qualifications desired but not essential (Electrical Service Technician, with license)
- Strong Microsoft Excel and Word ability
- Full driver’s licence
- EWP licence desired but not essential
- Physically fit as this is a full-time role with a minimum of 40 hours per week
