We are looking for a Site Reliability Engineer to join our Hospitality team Want to work on global systems with a global team? Lightspeed powers tens of thousands of cafes and restaurants in over 100 countries around the world. Our SRE team is a fully-remote global team with 11 members across almost as many countries. You'll be the third SRE in APAC.

**Site Reliability Engineering Team (SRE)**

Like many companies, our SRE roles are a hybrid between DevOps and SRE.

We are Lightspeed's experts on cloud infrastructure and operations and contribute this expertise at all stages of the service lifecycle, from design to development and operations. We are also responsible for the reliability of Lightspeed's services in production, and work closely with product teams to ensure their services are reliable and performant. You will become a key part of the Engineering department, tackling the unique challenges that come with keeping Lightspeed's infrastructure availability and reliability up and running.

On just one product, we:

- Deploy >100 microservices
- Release 10+ times a day
- Use AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, and other cutting-edge technologies

**What you'll be doing**:

- Technical delivery of infrastructure and services
- Tracking, reporting and managing the reliability of products
- Working closely with our neighbour teams: DX (developer experience), architecture, and product development squads.
- Responding to production incidents & outages (you will be part of an on-call rotation)

**What you need to bring**:

- Previous success and failure ("scars"), which help you make better decisions
- Experience managing infrastructure as code (IaC)
- Development experience in one or more languages, ideally a mix of scripting and compiled languages, e.g: Go, Python, Typescript
- Understanding of Docker or container orchestration techniques
- Understanding of modern development strategies (CI/CD)
