**The Role**:
Lead a small but growing company in food safety and quality.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance processes to ensure the consistent production of high-quality confectionary products.
- Establish and enforce compliance standards in accordance with industry regulations and certifications.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of production facilities, equipment, and processes to identify areas for improvement.
- Liaise with suppliers to ensure the quality and safety of raw materials and ingredients.
- Arrange Micro/Chemical assessments as required.
- Collaborate closely with the production team to address quality and compliance issues promptly.
- Create and update documentation, including standard operating procedures, quality manuals, and compliance reports.
- Train employees on quality assurance protocols and compliance requirements.
- Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in quality assurance and compliance.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in food science, quality assurance, or a related field.
- Proven experience in quality assurance and compliance management within the food industry.
- Strong understanding of food safety regulations, including HACCP, FDA, and GMP.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be residing in New Zealand with the appropriate visa/citizenship.
