**ABOUT THE ROLE
We have an exciting new opportunity at Jade Software for a Network Engineer to join our Managed Services team. This is a highly technical role where you will implement, maintain and design networks, working within a highly skilled team who work to secure business critical networks and systems for our global customers. You will be responsible for the continued growth and support of Jade’s internal and external network infrastructure, ensuring it meets reliability, security, and functional requirements.

This is varied and challenging work with a deep technological focus on networking, firewalls and systems access requirements. You will be highly supported and work closely with other Jade people including; Network Engineers, Operations Engineers and Infrastructure Specialists.

Key Responsibilities Include:

- Identifying, diagnosing, and resolving technical problems.
- Maintaining and encouraging direct and healthy customer contact and relationships.
- Providing technical support to client users.
- Assisting with new builds and upgrades for network systems, hardware and software.
- Implementing firewall and other access control rules. Providing input to relevant security policies, procedures, and practices.

**ABOUT YOU
As a talented Network Engineer you will have some experience in a similar role with demonstrated skills in providing support to business networks and network connectivity.

You will also have:

- Sound working knowledge of IPv4 / IPv6, firewalls and DNS.
- Experience with Cisco Layer2 and Layer3 switching, trunking and routing.
- Experience and an understanding of Firewall rule definition, preparation, and Implementation. (Cisco, Checkpoint, Palo Alto, Fortinet and/or Linux-IPTables will be an advantage)
- Experience or knowledge around Cloud Azure technologies and AWS.
- Customer service focus, with excellent rapport building skills.
- Problem diagnosis and investigation skills. Be flexible to cover on-call; 1 week in 4.
