Our
**Mico Manukau** store is a small but busy branch, providing trade solutions to a loyal trade customer base, including home builders and the local business sector.

**Mico New Zealan**d is a trusted supplier of plumbing and bathroom products in the industry to the trade, retail and commercial sectors, with 69 branches and around 550 employees throughout New Zealand.

**The role**

We have an exciting role, where you’ll join a stable branch and enjoy the variety and opportunities of working with a close-knit, supportive team within a large organisation.

Reporting to the Branch Manager, this is a varied role that will see you involved mainly in sales on the Trade Counter, but also pitching in with the rest of the team when required to help out in the Inwards Goods area, cycle counting stock or occasionally driving the odd customer delivery to get an order out. Working behind the Trade Counter, you’ll ensure that our customers, who are made up of tradies, businesses and home-owners, are greeted with a cheerful smile and exceptional service, but even working in inwards goods or doing deliveries will bring your great customer service skills into play. The greatest purpose of our team is to work together with our customers and support them to keep their businesses on the go

You’ll also be assigned your own customer base and then be responsible for building relationships and liaising with them on a regular basis. Key to the role will be understanding their needs and providing professional solutions, ordering products to specific time frames for their projects and communicating delivery times and availability of products where required. A lot of scheduling and pulling together of information is required and this role is akin to a project management-style role.

You’ll have the chance to learn our products, and this will give you the opportunity to progress in the branch, the business, and the organisation. Product or industry knowledge would be a real bonus, but we have heaps of great training materials, if you’re a willing learner

Full time role, Mondays to Fridays and rostered Saturdays 8-12.

**About you**

To shine in this role, you’ll bring a cheerful customer-focused attitude and strong work ethic to the business and be prepared to work closely and cooperatively with the rest of our team. Our Manukau team work collaboratively and so your strong teamwork and interpersonal skills are essential to this role. The ability to build rapport and relationships should be your strength and you’ll be IT savvy too.

There will be some manual handling required and so you’ll need to be physically fit. A current drivers’ licence is required (full or restricted).
