**Anglican Care Waiapu (ACW), is the social services arm of the Anglican Diocese of Waiapu. Our services and programmes in the Bay of Plenty, Tairāwhiti, Hawke’s Bay and Tararua support tamariki, whānau, and communities with early childhood education, family support, grief services, and older people programmes.**

Te Hapara Family Services is a social service provider based in Tairawhiti. We provide social work, and counselling support to the community and to whānau of tamariki enrolled at Waiapu Kids Te Hapara Whānau Aroha. We provide programmes around women’s empowerment, parenting and peri-natal support. We also offer programmes and workshops for children, young people, parents and adults in the area of change, grief and loss.

The Social Worker position requires a qualified professional who can connect and relate with tamariki, rangatahi and whānau from all walks of life.

Working within our Family Services team, you will be an experienced social worker, with demonstrated experience working with tamariki, youth/rangatahi and whānau. You will provide professional one on one client support, whanau support and facilitate group programmes.

You’ll thrive on managing a busy caseload and enjoy planning and facilitating programmes that support people to take positive action in their lives. Therefore, you must have a natural ability to form strong and meaningful relationships which is underpinned by your passion for building community connection.

**Key Requirements;**
- Tertiary level qualification that is recognised in Aotearoa/NZ
- Registration and current Annual Practising Certificate
- Relevant employment experience with children
- Knowledge of child protection and family harm
- Evidence of leadership skills and qualities
- Experience working in a bicultural and/or multi-cultural context
- An affinity with the mission and values of Anglican Care Waiapu
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- NZ Full Drivers Licence
