**About the role**

We have an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled and experienced people leader / manager with a strong technical background to join our Security Department.

Working in agile squads, the People Leader sits at the intersection of product and engineering management. People Leaders promote an environment in which their team can do their best work. This role makes sure the team has all the information they need, and the right feedback loops in place, to deliver valuable customer outcomes predictably and sustainably. People Leaders help their team learn and improve, sharing the team’s discoveries for the benefit of the broader organisation. They also look after team wellbeing and work to build their resilience.

In addition, this person will typically fulfill another role on the team they lead depending on their additional skills and experience e.g., Developer

- Be a leader who grows leaders: before all else you should aim to think wide & deep about how we grow ourselves, our people & our organisation
- Have strong people management skills: the ability to conduct challenging conversations and performance reviews in a professional and constructive manner to ensure a positive outcome and continuous growth
- Lead the recruitment of new team members, ensuring a seamless onboarding experience
- Create an engaging team environment, where everyone has a strong sense of purpose and understands how they are making a positive difference for our customers
- Bring a continuous improvement approach to all that you do, being proactive and taking accountability to reflect on practices and delivery and constantly try to make improvements
- Bring a wide toolbox of techniques to create and enable impactful change in mindsets, processes and practices, this may include the likes of organisational development, lean/six sigma, adult learning, leadership coaching or similar

**To be considered for this role, you will have**
- 3+ years of experience leading or mentoring software development teams, ideally in large and complex organisations
- 5+ years of experience as a software developer, tester, UX designer, or in another tech capacity
- Proven experience operating in scaled and distributed new product development environments
- People with a willingness to pitch in and help the team in their area of expertise e.g., Developer
