this position)
The Finance Associate is a key
role in Te Whatu Ora - s (Nelson Marlborough) financial business partnering team
to ensure the delivery of a range of financial management activities to the
wider Clinical Services team.
This is a time of multiple fold
change in the health environment both with the Te Whatu Ora structure and the technology
used. This will continue at a rapid pace over the next twelve months.
The position reports to the
Finance Manager and the focus is on providing service-centric and customer-focussed
value to meet the needs of the organisation. Regular risk analysis, variance
reporting, budgeting and forecasting are important elements to the position. There
will be a strong rotational element to this role across the service.
This is a new, fixed term
full-time position for 12 months working 80 hours a fortnight.

You
will be a self-starter who takes ownership of assigned tasks and deliverables
and, under the guidance of the Finance Manager, you will produce high quality
outputs within required timeframes.

**Your experience and qualifications should include**:

- Tertiary qualification in

finance, accounting or other relevant business discipline
- Chartered Accountant (member of
NZICA/CCANZ) or professional membership of professional accounting body
- Extensive experience (4+ years)
in a finance/accounting or public sector financial management field
- Demonstrable experience in
partnering with a business operation to deliver value
- Demonstrable knowledge and
experience of delivering financial/accounting services in a large and complex
organisation
- The ability to analyse complex
issues, provide solutions and communicate these clearly to a range of
stakeholders
- Previous health sector and
significant change experience would be desirable

staff you are required to provide proof that you have completed your primary
course of NZ approved Covid-19 vaccinations.
