The opportunity

As a Department Manager with our Contracting Team, you are responsible for a single function within a division e.g. contracting, maintenance, drainage, paving etc. As the Department Manager, you will coordinate all on site-foreman, employees, plant resources and subcontractor teams. You could be involved in large projects in scope/size or multiple smaller projects. Our values will drive everything you do.

In addition to the above you will:

- Oversee pricing of work and preparation of tenders/ quotes/ estimates
- Project management including liaising onsite with clients and subcontractors to ascertain all requirements including SQTE and financial performance requirements
- Have financial accountability and management of your department.

To be successful in this role, you will:

- Experience in the civil construction industry
- Experience in managing and developing teams
- Proven experience in financial management
