**Te Whiwhinga a mahi | The opportunity**
As a core member of the P8 NZ Leadership Team, the Manager - P8 NZ Supply and Contracts Management is responsible for leading the NZ Supply team as well as coordinating provision of Supply and Contractual deliverables for the P8 NZ program. The role is based in Ohakea, NZ.
The role is responsible for executing and coordinating complex supply management support functions across international interfaces, as well as overseeing the execution of contractual agreements and deliverables with customers and suppliers. Detailed functions include; supply pipeline management, governance, sub-contractor management, tender management, preparation of customer deliverables, customer contract management and provision of specialist advice to program leadership on all strategic supply and contractual issues.
**Your responsibilities are**:
- Develop and ensure timely provision of supply and contractual deliverables, including conducting supplier source selection and drafting, negotiating and coordinating all internal reviews and approvals for contract change proposals and agreements with program customers and suppliers
- Lead the resolution of complex supply and contractual issues on behalf of the P8 NZ program
- Identify, monitor and assist in the mitigation of contractual risks
- Act as primary contact with the customer for all contractual matters
- Own the relationship with program suppliers and manage their performance
- Enable collaboration to identify and leverage commonalities, innovation and efficiencies across multiple programs
- Provide leadership and support to the NZ supply team
- Provide a workforce culture focused on safety and execution excellence,
- Develop and engage employees
- Coordinate strategic workforce planning including the provision of resources to meet project demands
- Drive continuous improvement by communication and deploying enterprise best practices and employee engagement to improve costs, quality, delivery, employee satisfaction, and customer satisfaction
**Experience/Qualifications**
- Leadership experience in a strategic supply chain and/or contracts management role
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to consult, collaborate, negotiate, and work under pressure to liaise effectively with a diverse range of people
- Knowledge of supply chain and logístical requirements (Aviation and/or Defence environments highly desirable)
- Significant experience in management and administration of complex commercial contracts, Defence and/or aviation highly desirable, including demonstrated experience in proposal development, drafting and negotiation of agreements
- Tertiary qualifications and experience in a field of relevance; Supply Chain, Law, Business or Management (highly desirable)
- Experience within a multi functional team within a matrix organization (desirable)
