Auckland City, New Zealand HEB Construction Full time

We're looking for a stand-out Bid Writer to join our Winning Work Team, based at either our Auckland (Wiri) Head Office, or one of our principal Regional Offices; Waikato, Tauranga, Wellington, or Christchurch. The role requires an experienced, high-performing, collaborative team player, who works well under deadline pressure and multiple bid production.

Reporting to the National Submissions Manager, the Bid Writer will be expected to undertake bid-specific research and work with SMEs to develop high-quality content for Expressions and Registrations of Interest, Requests for Tender (RFTs), Pre-Qualifications, and Award submissions.

**Day to day, you'll be responsible for**:

- Accessing and extracting bid content from, and contribute content to, the National Tenders Library
- Work with teams and individuals (SMEs) within HEB to collect bid content
- Prepare Bid Plans/Programmes and facilitate/contribute to Bid meetings
- Develop compliant, structured, and succinct proposals
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our systems, processes, and documentation.

**The Must-Haves**:

- At least three years of previous experience as a Bid Writer
- Excellent communication skills, and written and spoken English proficiency
- Ability to quickly gather accurate and relevant proposal information from stakeholders
- Ability to write clear, concise, compelling, and persuasive bid content
- Ability to translate technical concepts into plain English, and to write with 'one voice'
- Attention to detail, with highly accurate proofreading skills.

**The Desirable**:

- Ideally Tertiary qualified
- Experienced user of Outlook, Adobe, and MS Office products; particularly MS Word, Project, and PowerPoint, and navigator of online Tender platforms (i.e. TenderLink, GETS, Ariba)
- Goal oriented with a high level of personal organisation and drive
- A can-do attitude, with a positive, personable, and respectful nature.
