We are looking for a talented bid writer to join our high performing and supportive tender team.
We are New Zealand’s leading materials recovery, recycling and waste management provider. We are leaders in waste-to-energy and have the largest commercial electric fleet in New Zealand, all powered by electricity from waste. Our team are passionate environmentalists, committed to powering the circular economy for future generations of Aotearoa New Zealand.
**About the role**
This role will support our existing team to compile and submit winning tenders for both our commercial and municipal business arms. You will manage multiple stakeholders and run the tender process from start to submission, producing high quality tender documents that engage their intended audiences.
**Key accountabilities**:
- Work with our sales and operational teams to create tenders, bids and proposals to win new business and assist with exceptional presentations/ pitches
- Manage the tender response end-to-end, from kickoff meeting to submission
- Understand all sides of our company, including our commitment to sustainability and the circular economy, and effectively tell our stories. We’ve got lots of great stories to tell
- Work with the tender team to develop a resource library of templates and case studies
- Ensure accuracy of information through proof reading and fact checking
- Identify and win grants available to drive our recycling, circular economy, waste-to-energy and electric fleet innovations
- Build outstanding relationships within our corporate, sales and regional teams and government stakeholders
**About you**:
You’ll thrive in a supportive team environment with a positive and can-do attitude. You will have a relevant tertiary qualification and at least 5 years’ experience in tenders or corporate writing, including persuasive writing, key messaging and executive summaries to create compelling documents. You will be skilled at developing client facing presentations, with InDesign skills an advantage. You will have experience in submitting for and winning large tenders, be a great stakeholder manager, outstanding writer and have the ability to draw out the technical and information that will make our tenders shine.
