**Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity**

In this role the National Procurement Manager develops category management capability whilst collaborating with Supply Chain, Clinical Product Management, and stakeholders, to deliver health outcomes and financial targets. This role is responsible for leading a procurement team and ensuring the outcomes and efficiencies laid out in a National Procurement, Supply Chain & Health Technology Management (PSC&HTM) Plan and the PSC&HTM Strategy are delivered effectively through a distributed procurement model that will continually identify opportunities for procurement activities to add value.

This role will also be part of the procurement leadership team and will take accountability for developing and managing the Medicines category tower procurement plan, performance delivery, and people leadership.

**Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience**

**Ka kawea e koe | You will bring**:

- 10 years' senior management and leadership experience in strategic procurement or supply chain
- Relevant longer-term experience specific to the job and work demands, acquired over time of 3-5 years
- Preferably experience with procuring or managing pharmaceuticals and related products
- Experience developing and implementing effective group/team strategies and work plans that deliver on organisational objectives
- Senior leadership level experience and responsibility for managing CAPEX and OPEX budgets, forecasting, and cost management
- Senior leadership level experience and responsibility for managing organisational risk and compliance at either a unit or group level
