**Mō tēnei tūranga mahi | About this role**

You'll have full responsibility and own the Products' Information Artefacts whilst driving continuous improvement in the data, data reporting and analytics capabilities, information artefacts and the information and insights they provide.

Working with the NZTD Tower Manager, you'll ensure enterprise standards and processes are adhered to and feed into the growth of these standards. This role is also responsible for the delivery of high quality analysis, insights and reporting designed to help deliver on the objectives of the programme.

**Ko wai koe | About you**

To help us achieve this vision, we are seeking a talented and motivated Data and Performance Analyst to join our newly established NZTD team who is able to provide strong problem solving and proven creativity to produce engaging reports that capture and present critical information in a clear and intuitive manner, tailored to the target audience. You'll also be highly organised and a results oriented individual with strong detailed planning and facilitation skills.

**To be successful in this role you'll need to have had 3-5 years experience in a similar role and be able to demonstrate the following**:

- hands-on extensive experience with BI tools (Azure Databricks highly preferred; PowerBI highly preferred).
- Strong problem solving and proven creativity to produce engaging reports that capture and present critical information in a clear and intuitive manner tailored to the target audience from complex data.
- Report development using T-SQL, PowerBI Desktop & Service.
- Coding using Python.
- Other technical skills - SQL, report design and development.
- Event based big data experience using Snowflake, DataBricks and related technologies.
- Bachelor of Engineering, Computer Science, Data Architecture or equivalent.
- Proven ability to conduct through, impartial and insightful data analysis.
- A record of accomplishment of building and sustaining a range of strong relationships and providing a high-quality service to customers and stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with an ability to understand complex challenges/concepts and articulate these in a simplified, easy to understand manner to a variety of audiences.
- Demonstrated strength in understanding Data Warehousing, Data lakes, and data pipelines.
- Highly organised and result oriented with strong detailed planning and facilitation skills.
- Experience in driving improvements in data quality and information artefacts.
