**The Opportunity**

We’re looking for Embedded Software Engineers who want to make a big impact on the development of world-leading integrated access control, intruder alarm and perimeter security solutions. You will be integral in delivering value to critical sites with some of today’s highest cyber security requirements.

**As part of #TeamGallagher you will**
- Contribute to the design and development of our next-generation security products.
- Develop embedded software to run on bare-metal processors.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers for board bring-up, debugging and integration of software with hardware components.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive unit tests.
- Participate in review of source code changes.

This is a permanent full-time role (40 hours min per week - 50 hours max per week) located in Melville, Hamilton, New Zealand. The annual remuneration for this role is $80,000 NZD - $110,000 NZD depending on experience.

**To be considered for this role, you will**
- Have a relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience.
- Have 3 years demonstrated experience in commercial development.
- Be proficient in Embedded C/C++/RTOS and bare-metal.
- Have experience solving problems and clearly documenting technical designs.
- Actively keep up with modern coding and design practices.
- Have knowledge of digital electronics and schematics.
- Have knowledge of microprocessor architectures.
- Be proficient in use of Git version control tools and process.
- Be proficient in using debugging tools to track down product problems and defects.
- Have experience with automated testing, such as unit tests, automated API tests, UI automation, and other such techniques to improve the quality of software.
- Experience in board bring-up, boot loader modification, and driver development.
