Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity
As a member of the Governance, Partnerships and Risk team, this role has shared accountability for supporting the interface between Te Whatu Ora, government, and the wider state sector. The group is responsible for functions which support the agency, its Ministers, and provide accountability to New Zealanders. These functions include processing Parliamentary Questions, responding to correspondence on behalf of Te Whatu Ora and Ministers, responding to OIA requests, Select Committee hearings, creating the Weekly Report to Ministers, coordinating briefing advice to Ministers, and managing Privacy Act requests.

Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience
- Previous experience working in the fields of Ministerial Services / OIA / Government Services.
- Strong working knowledge of applicable legislation including the Privacy Act and the Official Information Act.
- Sound knowledge of the machinery of Government, including structures and Cabinet processes.
- Strong leadership and motivational skills, with the ability to effectively lead, motivate and coach others towards the achievement of goals.
- Ability to identify and manage risks, and experience in the co-ordination and quality assurance of a wide range of information.
- Experience dealing with complex Ministerial-facing work such as Parliamentary Questions, OIA responses, Ministerial correspondence, Select Committee hearings.
- Experience in liaising with stakeholders such as Officers of Parliament, Parliamentary staff and Ministerial staff.

This role requires and/or would benefit from the following
- Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a willingness to learn and grow
