Reporting to the Head of Asset Operations, this is an opportunity to own OMV New Zealand’s asset compliance framework and drive a culture of good compliance across OMV’s operated assets and major projects. This role requires an individual with strong stakeholder management skills with demonstrated experience of building engagement with both internal and external stakeholders with a particular focus on regulatory bodies. A key focus for the Asset Compliance Lead will be ensuring regulatory requirements are met and regulatory risks are mitigated from activities within the Operated Assets.

**Responsibilities**:

- Work in collaboration with Legal, Compliance, Project, HSSE and Stakeholder experts within OMV to ensure successful regulatory outcomes across the business, including ensuring OMV is in full compliance with all legal requirements.
- Ensure high quality relationships throughout the business and with government representatives who regulate OMV’s operated assets and share OMV’s views in relation to proposed regulatory change.
- Manage Operated Asset responses to NZ Regulator audits, and facilitate review and delivery of all post audit information requests.
- Assessment of future projects (including carbon reduction and new energy projects) to identify potential compliance risks, including significant new, modified or revised approvals.

**Requirements**:

- Demonstrated experience managing and influencing good compliance in a regulated industry.
- Ability and experience to strongly advocate the company’s interests with regulators, officials and industry groups.
- An approachable manner, so as to encourage proactive queries on compliance, incident reporting, and generate ‘buy-in’ on compliance matters.
- Ability to interface with and influence multiple stakeholders at all levels across the organisation.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to establish and integrate best practices, and to ask difficult questions.
