**Senior Academic Staff Member Position - 0.5 Fixed Term**

**Professional Development and Adult Learning**

**Centre for Education and Foundation Pathways**

A fixed-term 0.5 FTE facilitator position is currently available within our ATTP5 Programme (New Zealand Certificate in Adult and Tertiary Teaching Level 5).

**About the position**:
This position involves supporting Kaiako enrolled in ATTP5. Designed to enhance their teaching journey, this qualification encourages participants to develop their personal teaching approach and styles within their own teaching context/s, develop their knowledge of their learners/ākonga, and explore evidence-based strategies and principles to enhance their teaching.

With a strong focus on Mātauranga Māori, the ATTP5 facilitator will be working with Kaiako across a range of contexts via tuakana-teina and wananga -based approaches, to support a wider Community of Practice of Kaiako focused on equity and success for all ākonga.

As part of the ATTP5 team, you will be working with a diverse range of facilitators to co-facilitate the three modules that make up this qualification.

The ATTP5 facilitator will also support Kaiako to:

- Explore what they believe about teaching and learning within their own context/s.
- Develop their understanding of diverse ākonga to support learner engagement and success.
- Create ākonga-centred assessment.
- Develop as reflective practitioners.
- Better understand the requirements of the tertiary education sector in relation to their practice.
- Develop confidence in their own professional practice.

While ATTP5 is offered internally to Wintec Kaiako from a wide range of disciplines, it is also open to tertiary educators from other contexts.

If you have five or more years’ experience in adult education, relevant tertiary qualifications, and genuinely enjoy working with and acting as a role model to other Kaiako along with excellent communication and collaboration skills, this could be an opportunity for you
