Timber Yard Trade Counter Leader

**The **Role**
Our Timber Trade Counter team are looking for someone who loves delivering first-class customer service with an outgoing, sunny personality and who doesn’t mind a bit of hard work This is a challenging but rewarding role, working together with the Timber, Trade and Dispatch teams. Your primary focus will be assisting our Trade and DIY customers with helpful and accurate advice, making sure they have everything they need to complete their projects.
You will be required to oversee the Front-end of the Timber Yard Drive Thru operation ensuring team members perform their roles as required, helping promote a team culture that encourages a positive working environment.
This role is mainly positioned on the Trade Counter and involves processing purchase transactions, checking product uplifted against that purchased, replenishing counter stock, assisting with customer queries and collections. You will also be responsible for the small display area inside the store.
You will have a positive impact on sales, building long term trust based relationships and going the extra mile will be the norm for you.
**About You**
You will be able to bring a drive and energy for getting the job done right. Previous customer service experience and/or building and timber knowledge would be an advantage, but it is your strong personal values, in alignment with ours, that will make you successful at Mitre 10.
For this position a full, clean Driver Licence is an advantage. If you have a full licence and a willingness to learn we will happily put you through forklift licence training.
You will be comfortable on your feet all day and able to keep up with the physical demands of lifting. This is a permanent, full time role (45 hours) working 5 days including one weekend day Sunday-Thursday.
