**We are looking for a coxswain to do a combined role of ferry master and maintenance.**
Reporting directly to the Marine & Maintenance Manager, the focus of this position is to ensure our guests experience the highest levels of service and safety while on our water ferry or boat cruises which will be your primary focus. Whilst operating the ferry / scenic cruises on Lake St Clair during specified times you will be required to adhere to safety and marine legislation whilst providing commentary on this globally significant area.
When you are not operating the ferry, you will be required to conduct other activities which will include, grounds maintenance and other maintenance tasks across the property.

- Ability to work as a part of a team
- The ability to learn and retain information about the local world heritage area
As the Coxswain your key responsibilities will be:
- Safe operation of the ferry;
- Provision of commentary if operating the vessel on a scenic cruise;
- Assisting with grounds maintenance / handyman tasks;
- Preventative and on-going maintenance on vessel.
- Promotion of the site and various products and services through safe operation of the ferry, product knowledge and general interest in the area.
As Maintenance Services your key responsibilities will be dependent on your background and discussed with you during an interview process.
Required skills and qualifications for this role are:
- Current Coxswains certificate: "Restricted" or "Open" ticket with passenger endorsement or equivalent from your country of origin
- Current senior first air and CPR
- Manual drivers licence
- Fluent in English
- Friendly mannerisms
Other Considerations
- Please note this position is based at Lake St Clair, Tasmania, Australia so the successful applicant will need to relocate.
- This position requires weekend and public holiday work and grooming standards apply.
- Standard hospitality uniform is required to be worn (hospitality black. The company will provide the branded components of the uniform)
- This is a remote living position (lodgings are 5kms from site, 2.5 hrs from Hobart) and you will be provided subsidized accommodation and meals (whilst working). As such, please consider the reality of living in a remote location for an extended period of time prior to applying.
- Due to location and proximity of schools, this role would not be suitable for anyone with school aged children who intend to bring their family with them.
**Salary**: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year

- South Australia: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
Licence/Certification:
