**Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity**

This is a high-profile role to ensure we deliver as intended against our key strategic objectives in our people plan. This role will specifically support People and Communications leaders to implement the plan with priority given to growing the numbers and diversity of the health workforce and health leadership, particularly Māori, Pacific peoples, and disabled peoples.

The primary focus of this role is as follows:

- to lead the implementation of the ‘People Plan' in the P&C team.
- collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure buy-in and support for the People Plan initiatives.
- provide guidance and support to the P&C team members involved in the People Plan initiatives.
- report impact and progress of people plan to Office of Chief People Officer.

**Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience**

The key skills and experience we are looking for include (but not limited to):

- Several years' experience (i.e., in the range of at least 5 years), and knowledgeable in the development and implementation of organisational development programmes, frameworks, initiatives, principles and practices and the assessment thereof, that align with strategic goals and support delivery of organisational outcomes. Preferably in a large organisation.
- Ability to critically analyse, interpret and simplify complex information to make well-reasoned decisions and to improve the accessibility of information for others.
- Proficiency in project management methodologies, tools, and techniques to effectively plan, execute, and monitor change initiatives.
- Ability to influence and constructively challenge and to build effective relationships with all levels of the organisation and with stakeholders, helping others to embrace change and achieve desired outcomes.
- A relevant tertiary qualification or comparable experience working at a management level.
