**Salary midpoint is**: $187,471 negotiable depending on the successful applicant's skills and experience + superannuation.
Te tūnga | The role
Join Stats NZ's Senior Leadership team as a Senior Manager responsible for leading the Agency Partnering team. In this key role, you will use your excellent relationship skills and insight to unlock the value of data for the benefit of New Zealanders. Your ability to gather, develop, and share insights with agencies, iwi-Māori, and other system leads is crucial in influencing change and delivering services that achieve system-level outcomes.
Your leadership will be vital to support a Tiriti based data system that is equitable, effective, integrated and inclusive. Specifically, you will lead a team, which is responsible for identifying opportunities that deliver value by brokering, facilitating, and connecting people, skills and expertise from across the data system. To achieve this, you will identify strategic partnership opportunities, and bring together the right expertise from both Stats NZ and the wider data system.

We are looking for someone with considerable experience of the public - or related - sector at a senior level. You are an experienced people leader who can thrive in an ambiguous environment and lead the team to achieve ambitious results. You are a skilled communicator who can confidently engage with stakeholders at all levels, including C-suite roles.
As Stats NZ continues on its journey to lift its Māori capability, your demonstrated experience in Te Ao Māori, along with a commitment to ongoing learning and development, will enable you to contribute meaningfully while working for and with Māori.
