**Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity**

We are building our ability to work with big data in the cloud. Our environment has been established, we have built some pipelines and we are looking for a data engineer to help us take it to the next level.

We have access to data to help solve many of healthcare's problems from access to equity from diagnosis to treatment. This role has quite a wide scope so you won't bored.

**Mōu | About you**

You are a data professional with a flair for building and optimising 'big data' landscapes, armed with a wealth of experience in building and optimizing data pipelines, architectures, and datasets..

You have a detective's mindset, excelling in root cause analysis to address specific technical and business queries while uncovering opportunities for enhancement. Collaboration is at the core of your approach, as you seamlessly partnering with teams and stakeholders to bring data pipelines for model development to fruition. Your knack for dissecting moving pieces allows you to provide thoughtful recommendations on design and configuration.

**Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience**
- Advanced working knowledge or experience building and optimizing ‘big data' data pipelines, architectures and data sets.
- Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific technical / business questions and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Experience with relational SQL and NoSQL databases, including MSSQL, Postgres and DynamoDB.
- Experience working with AWS services including S3, Lambdas and Data bricks.
- Experience with modelling languages such as R, SQL and Python
