We are seeking a full time Quality Adviser with proven quality experience, preferably within an FMCG environment for permanent work at our busy indoor shelf farm based in Hornby. This is a great opportunity to join a leading FMCG company and the largest producer of fresh mushrooms in New Zealand. Reporting to the Quality Manager, the primary purpose of this role, is to provide Food Safety and Quality expertise and support internally to our Operations team, as well as externally to customers and consumers. The Quality Advisor will ensure all products are grown, harvested, packed, and dispatched according to internal food safety and quality processes, regulatory requirements, customer requirements, and industry best practice.

**Key responsibilities**:

- To complete various activities to check compliance to the HACCP system and initiate follow up where non compliances are detected.
- To assist the Quality Manager in the administration and management of the HACCP-based Custom Food Control Plan (CFCP).
- Provide constructive feedback, advice, and recommendations to Operations to support continuous improvement in quality and food safety standards.
- To assist with regular external and internal audits, including CFCP, GlobalGAP, customer audits, and other audits as required.

**About You**:

- Demonstrated food safety and quality experience, preferably in a FMCG (Fast Moving Consumer Goods) environment.
- Good understanding and knowledge of HACCP, food safety and quality policies and procedures.
- Strong influencing and interpersonal skills, ideally with previous customer service experience.
- Great organisational and planning skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Positive attitude towards teamwork and food safety
