Te Tūranga | The Role
Right now, we're looking for a Senior Investigator to join our Evidence & Investigations team. As its name suggests, this role undertakes inquiries and investigations, reports on matters that relate to conduct which present a risk of harm to financial markets. The team is part of FMA's Response and Enforcement Team.
This position will call on your investigative skills, interviewing techniques, analytical ability and report writing skills as you obtain and evaluate financial markets information. You will assist in the preparation and presentation of civil and criminal cases for court action and support the delivery of other enforcement outcomes as required. As well as working with our internal Enforcement Team, you will provide investigative support services across the organisation and engage extensively with external stakeholders.
He kōrero mōu | About you
You will have experience in the end-to-end investigation of complex cases involving large volumes of data, and you may have an in-depth knowledge of laws and regulations relevant to the financial sector, but sound judgement, in a strong team ethos and proven initiative is key to this position. This is a fast-paced role, managing multiple cases to ensure all obligations are met within tight timeframes so you'll need to be adaptable, have good time management and resilience when working under pressure.
